Dear Supporting Friends,
I thank you for your support in 2018. Moni and I alongside with you and others spent – DIRECTLY – over 20,000.00 USD in Middle Belt Nigeria. 90% of this Fund was for Expenditure impacting the Children of Misisi. Can you believe that the Children now have a Song, “We are no more Orphan’s We are God’s Children!” Right before our eyes, the Scripture is fulfilled. God became the Father of the Fatherless and the Husband of the Widows; I sincerely REJOICE! Please note that this Fund does not include the cost of operations in the USA. It does not include our Offices in Washington DC, our Home Office in Dallas TX; Multiple Flights to Advocate at the Capitol Hills etc. It does not also include the cost of processing our 501 c 3 with the US Federal Government which Messrs David Awe CPA is assisting us. Messrs Martin Kuyoro, another accountant has also graciously volunteered to help with preparing a proper accounting report for our 2018 activities. Mission Africa International created a Global Office at 1050 Connecticut Ave NW Suite 500; Washington District of Columbia 20036 United States of America. Our simple Home Office at 3404 Anita Drive, Mckinney TX 75050 is also still active.
In 2018, Mission Africa International created farms for widows, paid certain needy widows a stipend every month, assisted in rebuilding Homes, built and designed a functional School from the Scratch, conducted Mission Training of Leaders, supported indigent students in the universities, collaborated with other Nigerian organizations, advocated with US Based Organizations and the government in Washington DC. Without seeking the title, we became a leader in the Advocacy Community in the USA and the Intervention Community in Nigeria. I am grateful to you and every other kind soul who pitched in to help us fulfill the mission of serving the children of Misisi and advocating for the victims of terror in Nigeria and the Lake Chad Basin.
Without a doubt we are a Christian Organization. We are driven by the command of Christ to be the salt of the earth. We have a vision that centers on speaking for the poor of the people of God. Isaiah 14:32 says: “What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the Lord hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.” We have Augustinian and Franciscan Ethos, we operate with Pentecostal convictions, but we have chosen to serve all men begotten by God.
Mission Africa International is not a Sectarian Organization. We do not just work with Christian Children, we befriend and defend persecuted Muslims as well. Right now (December 29, 2018), we have commenced construction of another 4 Room School House for Muslim Fulani Children in Rugan Fulani, Kaduna State. We went to the Capitol Hill more than once to represent both Christians and Muslims. We became a strong advocate, a leader and a contributor for Justice in the International Religious Freedom Roundtable in Washington DC. We were invited to present a paper at the Powerful US Commission on Religious Freedom. In December 2018, a core Muslim Organization in Nigeria feature us on their Newspaper as their representative!
In all of these activities, we represent Christ, who desires that all men may be saved. We know that advocacy and activism go so far but that the real solution is in the hearts of men. To touch men’s heart, we have started two online Fora. One is an Advocacy Forum, the other a strictly Prayer and Intercession Forum. Over 500 individuals are involved in these two Fora.
We give praise to God for 2018 but are looking forward with passion to 2019.
From January 30 – February 12th, 2019, we shall conduct a nationwide Prayer for Peace in Nigeria. We will simultaneously train and empower Teams that we have decided to call “A People for Peace.” Will you pray for us? God has given me a great Vision which has been confirmed by Multiple Leaders. The Vision will involve going through the 6 Geopolitical Zones of Nigeria making Intercessions and Training a People for Peace. Will you pray for us? Can you possibly go with us?
I thank you
